Mark A. Diedrich, AIA
Mark A. Diedrich, AIA is Principal and Co-Founder of Kuo Diedrich, and has been sharing his golf clubhouse expertise through speaking engagements such as the Harvard University Graduate School of Design's continuing education program, Emory University, and the Columbus Coalition for Sound Growth. Utilizing his status as the next generation of golf club designers, Mark has been assisting owners in the design, placemaking, and creation of amenities for golf and resort communities both domestically and internationally.
Mark's prior professional experience includes firms in Indiana and Georgia, working primarily in the recreation, resort and retail sectors. His friendship with co-founder Howard Kuo began while in graduate school and the two have worked together professionally since 1995.
Mark attended The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, completing both BS and Masters degrees in Architecture, as well as a MS in Construction Management. He maintains architecture registrations in Georgia and several other states and is a member of the Recreational Development Council (RDC) of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the American Institute of Architects, and the US Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional. Mark is a contributing author in the book Building Type Basics for Recreational Facilities by Richard J. Diedrich, published in 2005 and contributes monthly articles to Brazil's New Golf magazine.
Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, Mark's interests include golf, softball, fly-fishing, and sports. As captain of the Kuo Diedrich softball team, he contributed to winning the A & E league championship in 2006 and 2008. He is married and has two sons.
